Housing allowances throughout Transylvania

Residential College for University Teachers and Junior Doctors (TLSZK) – since 2003

130 meters above the city, at the south part of Somos Plateau, in the suburbs of the city surrounded by orchards and forests, TLSZK has an excellent view on the city. The building has 1065 square metre use-surface, several apartments, guest rooms, a dining hall and a lecture room of 74 square metres provided with educational equipment. These all are available for young teachers, junior doctors and researchers who live in the residential college. The Residential College for University Teachers and Junior Doctors was inaugurated on 11 November 2003. Studium Publishing House has been in the same building since 2013.

The successful applicants can live in the apartment at cost price, thus we help their living, prosperity in their native land, and we try to make teaching as a career more and more available for the young.

TLSZK hosts professional events, trainings, preparatory courses. In 2013, a summerhouse was built in the garden and it can be used for different activities. The garden with the oven and the summer house is a perfect place for gatherings with friends.

The Invisible College

Besides accommodation provided in our residential colleges, since 2003 we have offered the flats belonging to the Foundation or rented flats at cost price for young professionals in different towns: Sfântu Gheorghe, Târgu Mureș, Satu Mare. We have supported the living costs of 70 people so far in different towns of Transylvania.

 

Studium Apartments for Doctors in Sfântu Gheorghe – since 2015

We have provided rent allowance since November 2015 in apartments in Sfântu Gheorghe as well. The aim with the construction of these Studium apartments is to offer home, to support young doctors, pharmacists, who studied in Târgu Mureș or other towns of Transylvania.

Our partners in this project were the Covasna County Council, the Local Authority of Sfântu-Gheorghe and the “Dr. Fogolyán Kristóf” Sfântu Gheorghe Emergency County Hospital. The location of the building was chosen in accordance with the managers of the hospital and the local municipalities. The chosen location is in the centre of town, a plot, which is part of the hospital yard and it was offered by the Covasna County Council.

There are three apartments of two rooms and three apartments of one room with all modern conveniences in the 3000-metre square two-floored building. The flats can be applied two times for two years by doctors and pharmacists who work in the public sector.

 

Studium Apartments for Doctors and Artists in Satu Mare – since 2017

The building complex of Studium Apartments is in Eugen Ionesco Street no. 30 in Satu Mare and it was inaugurated in August 2017.

This was built according to the plans of the apartments of Sfântu Gheorghe, so there are three two-roomed and three one-roomed flats. The garden is ideal for young families with children; there is a playground, a summerhouse with oven, and there are plenty of green and parking spaces.

The apartments can be gained through application for two years with the possibility of extension for another two years. During these years, the residents only pay their overhead expenses. The rent allowance call is open to medical specialists, doctors, pharmacists and young artists living in Satu Mare.

Studium Apartments for Doctors and Artists in Miercurea Ciuc – since 2018

In Miercurea Ciuc, we provide family houses for doctors, artists for a period of 5-10 years.

The three houses with all modern conveniences were finished in the end of the year 2018: two semi-detached houses with two bedrooms and there is another detached house with three bedrooms for a larger family.

 

Studium Apartments for Doctors in Crasna – since 2019

In Crasna, we provide housing allowance for doctors in a three-bedroom house. The family house can be applied two times for three years by doctors who work in Crasna or in the nearby towns/villages. If need be, the house can easily be transformed into two smaller apartments. The lovely garden is a great place for a family to play together.

Studium Apartments for Doctors and Artists in Gheorgheni – since 2019

In Gheorgheni, Harghita county, we provide housing allowance for doctors and artists for three-year periods, with the possibility of extension for another 3 years. The two semi-detached houses with two bedrooms were built in 2019.

 

Under construction

Studium–Prospero Foundation plans to build more apartments in other towns of Transylvania. Family houses are under construction in Borsec, Miercurea Nirajului and Sângeorgiu de Mureș. In Medișoru Mare, Harghita county, a communal workshop space is just being built.
